Caitriona O’Shaughnessy made her debut back in 2005 against Dublin. Meath at that time would have been in the Senior Championship. Caitriona plays her football with Donaghmore/Ashbourne. She returned home recently from the US where she was part of the historic Charlotte James Connolly Ladies from North Carolina. Caitriona was a member of the team that won their first ever North American Senior Ladies Football Championship. They made history by being the first ladies football team to win this title outside of the BIG 4. Fate dealt Caitriona a cruel blow earlier in the year when she ruptured her ACL. But thankfully she is on the road to recovery.
When the chips are down and you need a last line of defense there is none better than Meath keeper Monica McGuirk. Monica has played with Duleek/Bellewstown for years. She has been one of the stand out performers over the last number of years at county level. As a goalkeeper Monica McGuirk has absolutely no fear. For her endeavours Monica was the winner of the May WGPA Player of the month award. Monica has also played between the sticks for Peamount Utd and Ireland. Monica made her debut in 2011 against Cork.
Vikki Wall another member of the history making Dunboyne ladies club. Vikki has been playing football since she could put on a pair of football boots. Vikki has a lethal left foot and puts fear into many a defender and goal keeper. She scored one of the goals of the year in the All Ireland Semi Final against Roscommon. She has played at all underage levels for Meath and was part of the Minor team who were victorious in the All Ireland final a couple of years ago. Vikki has also played for the Leinster squad. She made her adult debut against Kildare in 2014.
