Meet your Finalists 6

Emily Jo White another of our fabulous minors. She was part of the Minor team that reached the All Ireland semi final earlier in the year. Emily Jo plays her football with Oldcastle. She is another one of our fine goalkeepers and definitely one for the future. Emily Jo was called up to the senior panel this year. Emily Jo made her debut earlier in the year against Wexford.

One of Navan O’Mahonys stars is Sarah Powderly. In 2018 Sarah was having the year of her life when she tore her ACL. Disaster especially as Meath Ladies were to reach the All Ireland final. But Sarah showed her true fighting spirit and determination when she made a remarkable comeback and actually got to play a part in the final. Sarah has also played in goals for Meath Minors but these days you will see her somewhere on the back line defending for all shes worth. Sarah made her debut in 2013 against Down. Often seen out walking her dog!

Megan O’Brien is new to the adult team this year. She is definitely one of the most dangerous forwards with her club St. Michaels. She has the ability to pop up just about anywhere on the pitch and score points. For her outstanding performances in 2018 she was named as Club Intermediate Player of the Year. Megan made her adult debut against Wicklow earlier this year. Megan is also a teacher.

Another one of Navan O’Mahonys stars is Aoibheann Leahy. Aoibheann has apparently been playing since she was five! She made her adult debut in 2015 against Laois and is a primary school teacher. Aoibheann was part of the team in 2018 that reached the All Ireland final. Aoibheann was also part of the 2017 Leinster winning team and this years NFL Division 3 winning team. Aoibheann loves chicken wings!!!
