Meath v Wicklow

Big day ahead for Meath GAA and Meath LGFA on Sunday March 24th. The men will take on Fermanagh in the Allianz NFL at 2pm in Pairc Tailteann. At 12 noon the Ladies will play Wicklow in the Division 3 round 6 game of the Lidl Ireland NFL. The ladies will be looking to avenge the loss of last years Leinster Championship when Wicklow ran out winners on the day. Meath v Kildare NFL Rd 5

Meath Ladies make the trip to St. Conleths Park Newbridge on Saturday when they take on Kildare in round 5 of the Lidl NFL league. The girls are going for five wins from five. Its not going to be easy as Kildare will be hoping for a large crowd as the game is to be part of a double header. Sunday March 3rd the Seniors are on the road to Longford where they will be looking to keep their unbeaten run intact. The girls take on Longford and this game is in Pearse Park Longford as part of a double header. Throw in is 3pm.

Leinster U14 Championship

Meath U14s get their Leinster Championship underway on Saturday March 2nd when they will travel to Westmeath for round 1. The game is in St. Lomans GAA Club in Mullingar and throws in at 2pm. Best of luck to all the girls and management! #smallteamsbigdreams

Leinster U16 Championship

  Meath U16s will open their Leinster Championship against Kildare in Pairc Tailteann in Navan. They will play the curtain raiser game at 12 noon on Sunday March 3rd to the Allianz NFL League game between Meath GAA and Kildare. What an honour for our young Royals! Entry to the game is €15 if ticket is purchased prior to the game in the usual GAA ticket outlets, otherwise it is the usual €20. Meath v Roscommon NFL Rd 3

The LIDL NFL continues this Saturday when Meath Ladies welcome Roscommon to Dunganny for round 3 of the league. This time last year Roscommon ran out winners in Mullingar when the Meath Ladies struggled to keep pace with the Roscommon forwards. The Meath girls are on two from two at the moment having taken all the points from their first two games. Fingers crossed the girls will continue their winning streak this time round. The game throws in at 2pm and all support would be welcomed by the girls and management.

Minor Leinster Championship

The second game of the weekend sees the Minor Leinster Championship get under way on Sunday. This game is a repeat of the 2018 Leinster A final between Meath and Dublin. As is always the case with any Meath and Dublin game it is sure to be a cracker. Why not pop along to St. Margarets GAA Club on Sunday. Throw in is 2pm. Best of luck to Fergal and the management on their first outing.

Busy weekend for Meath LGFA

Meath ladies Minors and Seniors are on the road this weekend in both the Leinster Championship and the LIDL National Football league. First up is the Senior team who make the trip to Sligo in the round 1 game that was postponed due to the weather a couple of weeks ago. A big day on Sunday February 10th when Meath Ladies take on Offaly in Round 2 of the LIDL NFL. A very special occasion as the Ladies game will be the curtain raiser for the Meath v Armagh Allianz Football league game. County Player Awards

The Minor County Player of the Year went to Aedin Slattery of Na Fianna. Unfortunately Aedin was not able to attend the presentation. The Senior Young County Player of the Year went to Clann na nGaels Orlagh Lally. Megan Thynne picked up her second award of the evening when she was announced as Senior County Player of the Year. What a year for all three girls. Aedin Orlagh and Megan – Well done ladies!
