Meath Ladies Presentation Night!

Meath Ladies Presentation Night was held on Saturday January 26th in the Newgrange Hotel in Navan. A crowd of over 250 people were present on the night to see the cream of Meath Ladies Football presented with various awards. Leinster Council President Dominic Leech was one of the guests of honour and he presented our Minor footballers with their Leinster Medals.

Meath v Sligo Rd 1 NFL

The LIDL National Football League is BACK! So dust off the winter woolies and the wellies as it looks like it will be a very cold start to the league campaign! The team will travel to Sligo on SATURDAY. There is a weather warning in place from Tuesday for snow and ice so keep a check on this page for any updates re the game. Captain for 2019

Meath LGFA are delighted to announce that Donaghmore/Ashbournes Maire O’Shaughnessy is to be captain of the Meath Ladies side for 2019 season. Na Fiannas Shauna Ennis has been named as vice captain. Both players have been around the county scene for a number of years now at both underage and adult level and this is just reward for all their hard work at both club and county. Senior Championship Nominees

Today we take a look at our Senior championship nominees! Once again we have a fabulous selection of outstanding players. The nominees are: Stacey Grimes – Seneschalstown Joanna Byrne – Oldcastle Jackie Shiels – Simonstown All selections for all Championships from Junior C right through to Senior are based on the overall votes that these players received for all games, and so reflects their individual performances over the entire Championship. Managers of all teams in the various championships were asked to send their three nominations of the opposition players to the All Star Committee.
