All Ireland Intermediate Final September 16th 2018. Croke Park. Tyrone 6-8 Meath 1-14 The Harvest. A record breaking crowd for the TG4 Ladies All Ireland finals, amateurs all, ladies all! Big deal? Well consider this. Watford v Manchester United in the Premiership drew a 20K crowd, Chelsea at home to Cardiff a 40K crowd, Manchester City drew the biggest gate, 53K crowd. Homecoming!

Following on from their TG4 All Ireland Final WIN OR LOSE Meath Ladies team homecoming will be held on Sunday evening at approx 7pm in Gaelscoil Na Ríthe in Dunshaughlin. It has been a truly amazing year and we would like as many as possible to come out to welcome the girls home to the Royal County. The M.C. for the evening will be non other than RTE’s Darragh Maloney. There is a BBQ and music organised at the Arch Bar in Dunshaughlin. Meath Press Night. Venue: Dunganny Driving past Bective Abbey on the way to Dunganny, it brought home to me how quickly the summer has flown. The Masita Meath Ladies Championship launch and photo shoot was conducted there. Motoring on, the tall floodlights of Dunganny soared into the skyline. I confess to feeling guilty here. Then & Now!

The last time a Meath Ladies team stepped out on to the hallowed ground of Croke Park was in 1994. That was in the Junior All Ireland final. Their opponents Donegal. Back in the day Ladies football was only in its infancy. A lot has changed in the meantime. Meath having been beaten in the All Ireland Semi-Final by Donegal in 1993 exacted a revenge of sorts on the day!
