The next week or so will be an extremely busy one for Meath Ladies Football.
First up are the U14s who will travel to Longford Slashers GAA club on Saturday next April 27th for the new format u14 All Ireland series. The girls will play 3 games against Roscommon, Offaly and Clare.
Their games get under way at 11am and should end at approx 3pm.
Next up also on April 27th the Meath U16s take on old rivals Dublin in the Leinster A Final. What a game that should be. Meath were handy winners in the round game but again anything can happen on the day in a final. It’s all up for grabs in Ballymore Eustace GAA at 2pm.
Following on from that also on May 4th the Seniors will play in their second LIDL Division 3 NFL final against Sligo. The girls had a comfortable enough win in the round robin series but that will count for little when the big day arrives. Finals as we all know are notorious for throwing up the odd curve ball. Eamonn Murray and his charges will be looking for a result on the day to get out of Division 3. Venue and time for that will be available soon.
The Bank Holiday Monday and its the turn of the Minors. They will play last years B All Ireland winner Kildare in what promises to be one of the games of the year for both sides. Both sides played out a final round game in a bitterly cold Trim GAA on April 14th even though both Meath and Kildare had already qualified for the Leinster Final!!!!
Venue and time TBC.
The very best of luck to all of our teams over the next while. An exciting time for Meath Ladies Football and we certainly hope that as many as possible will get out to at least one of the venues to support and cheer on the girls.
This year Meath Ladies Football are in the unenviable position of having all of our underage teams in A Finals and our Senior in the Division 3 Final.
